Apple plans to use Retina high resolution displays in the next generation of MacBook 15.4-inch screen for the MacBook Pro and 13.3-inch display of the MacBook Air expected to get resolution of 2880×1800 pixels and 2560×1600 pixels respectively. Displays of current generation of 15-inch MacBook Pro and 13-inch MacBook Air have resolution of 1440×900 pixels. Will high resolution displays raise the final price of Apple MacBooks? Good question. Apple already using high-resolution Retina screens in iPhone 4S and the new iPad 3. So far Retina display did not impact the price of Apple devices.

Apple may introduce the new generation of MacBook Pro at the WWDC conference that starts on June 11. Following trends new generation of Apple MacBooks should be extremely thin and lightweight, powered by Ivy Bridge processors and Nvidia graphic. At the same event Apple most likely will introduce iOS 6 and share ideas about the new version of Mac OS X operating system.
