Garmin Head-Up Display review
Garmin is working on development of Garmin Head-Up Display (HUD). Garmin Head-Up Display is a new navigation device projecting navigational information from GPS enabled devices directly onto the windshield of the vehicle. It displays route, the current speed of the car, travel time to the destination and other useful traffic information.
Garmin Head-Up Display features
Head-Up Display does not restrict the driver’s view. The data are projected onto a transparent film pasted on the windshield or on the reflective lens that attaches to the HUD. Garmin head-up display is able to automatically adjust the brightness of the projection that it could be seen at night or in direct sunlight. The device is powered via 12 volt cable, which has built-in USB-port for charging your GPS capable mobile device.
Garmin Head-Up displays navigational information provided by your mobile device running on iOS, Android or Windows 8. All of them are capable to run either Garmin StreetPilot or Navigon application. The mobile device transmits navigational data via Bluetooth to the HUD. Among other things HUD could display on the windshield turn indicators, distance to the next turn, current speed and speed limit and estimated time of arrival.
Garmin Head-up Display: Release Date and Price
Garmin HUD should be released this autumn. The price of Garmin Head-up Display is around $130. Garmin Head-up Display is currently available for pre-orders.
