MacBook Pro: the Best Windows 8 laptop
According to Soluto 13-inch Apple MacBook Prois the best laptop that could run on Windows 8 operating system. Saluto is the company known by cloud service helping to test computers focusing on testing of the operating systems.

Acer Aspire E1-571 got rank 2 and Dell XPS 13was third. Dell was also named as the most reliable manufacturer. Half of Dell notebooks were in the top ten of the ranking.
Soluto research is based on statistics of the 150 million notebooks in the period from January to March 2013. The evaluation criteria included the number of crashes, hangs, and “blue screen” for a week and the average boot time.
MacBook Pro typically comes with completely different operating system. Windows 8 was installed on MacBook Pro without any other third-party software.
Soluto analysts recognize that the comparison of indicators notebook with a clean Windows and Windows with a pile of pre-installed applications is not quite correct. However, their goal was to compare the real situation were a normal user buy a new laptop.
Notebook manufacturers should think about the fact that if they stopped clutter additional utilities Windows, the operating system would work much faster and more stable, and the user would be easier and more enjoyable to use the laptop, the report said.

Toshiba has introduced a new premium brand of Retina laptops – Kirabook.
This is one of the first notebooks powered by Windows 8 and with Retina-like high resolution display. Kirabook is equipped by 13.3-inch 221 dpi display with resolution of 2560х1440 px.

Google Cromebook Pixel

Samsung also promised to release the Series 9 laptop with 2560×1440 px Retina like display.

From a technical point of view the screen resolution of KIRAbook slightly higher than the resolution of Apple and Google laptops. However, an ordinary user is unlikely to notice any difference. The ost important feature of KIRAbook distinguishing it from other similar devices is support of the 10-point multi-touch display technology. Sales of Kirabook will start on May 12. Price range of Kirabook is from 1,600 to 2,000 dollars depending on configuration.
Smart watch by Microsoft
According to the Wall Street Journal Microsoft is developing a smart watch – minicomputer that has the form of a wristwatch. The information comes from different sources including senior officials suppliers of Microsoft.
The company ordered smart watch components from their Asian suppliers. Some of the components include a 1.5 inch touch screen. Microsoft has also discussed the future of the device at a meeting with suppliers, which was held at the company’s headquarters in Redmond.
The look and feel of the device is unknown. More over it is just a new project of Microsoft and the company may or may not introduce the device to the public.
Microsoft has experience with developing a “smart watch.” In the past the company developed SPOT – Smart Personal Object Technology. The technology was developed for “smart” objects of personal use adding intelligence and modern features to such devices as watches and coffee makers.
SPOT technology was used by several manufacturers. In particular Swatch and Fossil released watches powered by Microsoft SPOT software. Watches were able to display news headlines, sport games scores and featured by instant messaging and other MSN Direct content.

According to unofficial data Apple and Samsung are also developing “smart watches” running on iOS and Android platforms respectively.
Existing smart watches
Some companies already offer watches that could work with a smartphone or tablet. This category of devices include Sony Smart Watch and Wimm One running on Android. Such devices show on the display texts and SMS messages and could run some Android applications.
Other companies offer “watch phone” – the device that combines cell phone capabilities with the comfort of watches.
According to Reuters next generation of Nexus 7 tablet could launch at July 2013. Fist generation of Google Nexus 7 tablet has been introduced in July 2012 and nominated as a best 7-inch Android tablet by many sources.
The new generation of Nexus 7 will be powered by modern Qualcomm processor that outperforms quad-core Tegra 3 processor of the current model. Display resolution is expected to be higher than 1280×800 pixels. Design of the tablet is also going to change: the frame around the display will be thinner.
Google is going to keep ASUS as the manufacturer of the new Nexus 7 tablet. While exact price of the device is unknown the most of analysts expect the range between $149 to $199 for new Nexus 7. They also expect a price drop for the existing model of Nexus 7.
During the second half of 2013 Google expects to sell 6.8 million of new Nexus 7. Sales of the first generation of Nexus 7 for the period between July and December 2012 were 4.6 million units.
The first version of Google Nexus 7 tablet was presented in June 2012. The price of the device is $199 for the 16-gigabyte model and $249 for a 32-gigabyte. Main competitors of Nexus 7 are Amazon Kindle Fire HD, Apple iPad mini and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
Nexus is a Google trademark for smartphones and tablets developed by Google but manufactured in collaboration with third-party vendors such as Asus, HTC and Samsung. Nexus devices are always running on the latest release of Android operating system developed by Google.
